Little Miss Mau, Mrs. Mau, and I went up to the mountains in Poland recently for our (gulp) 10 year anniversary.
10 years ago…I left a 6-figure job and went all in on my little dating blog, moving to Eastern Europe on a 1-way ticket.
Whole video story is here if you'd like to watch it…

And while I was sitting up in the mountains, breathing the fresh air and dreaming about how to best destroy the "career roaching" industry, it got me thinking.
Sometimes…all you need is a little push.
Let me explain.
A year or so ago, when we'd go to a waterpark, Little Miss Mau was apprehensive.
This time, when we went there…she was curious. She asked to walk up to the top. Then she got scared. Down we went. Did it again. And I realized, it was all with the way I was phrasing it.
I was saying, "Are you SURE you want to go? Once we go up it's hard to come down. It will be dark inside, maybe a bit fast…"
So, naturally, she got spooked.
Then, after 2 times up and down and my balls being blue, I decided to change it up.
"This is going to be AMAZING. LET'S GO. BEST SLIDE EVER."
All of a sudden?
All of the fear and apprehension was gone.
And look, I know, it sounds cheesy, but attitude is everything.
If you sit, whine, piss, and moan that you can't get your resume past an ATS and that it's oh so hard…look, on one hand, I get it. But you're also creating a self-defeating prophecy at the same time.
Change the attitude.
That you will defeat the ATS.
And you might just be surprised, my little seekers, at how well that works…
That said, if you want a shortcut to beating the ATS…
I have a few spots left to rewrite your LinkedIn profile + CV that will get you right past the ATS, right up to the top of the slide, and barreling down like Little Miss Mau ended up doing (20 times in a row).
Sunday is the deadline, or whenever the spots are filled.
