An old friend left a comment on my video about how I was sick and tired of living in 'ol Eastern Europe…
=====
"Come to the States bro, it’s time. You did it, nothing left to prove out there.
Lot of like minded people here in Florida, great weather, if you get a nice place in the right area you can still get some walkability.
Can always travel if you end up missing Europe."

Here's the thing I've learned, excuse the old fartedness:
Sometimes…life just takes you where you don't expect.
And we all have limited time on this rock.
So, you owe it to yourself to make the most of it.
And that's doubly true for careers.
Work is work if you're at a job. It's necessary. You can't not do it. Everyone needs money.
Sometimes it'll take you…where you don't expect. And yes, while you shouldn't have a "me, me, me" attitude, at the same time, you got limited time on this rock, so make the most of it.
10 years ago I was sitting in a cubicle at a government think tank making six figures. If you told me I'd be living in Poland with a Ukrainian wife, a trilingual daughter, that my mom had passed, that my dating blog took off, and that I started an olive oil company, that we'd had to flee a war where I didn't poo for 3 days, and then founded a staffing firm from my laptop…
…I'd have asked what you were smoking, and to please give me some of whatever it is.
But that only happened because at some point, I decided I wasn't going to wait for life to happen to me.
Most people treat their career the same way they treat a bad apartment or a city they don't like.
They know it sucks. They complain about it. They tell their friends how miserable they are. And then they renew the lease. Every year. For a decade. Because moving is hard. And scary. And what if the next place is worse?
So they stay.
And they wake up one day wondering where the time went.
I'm not going to Florida, but we are leaving Poland, and that's not the point.
The point is that he's right about one thing:
You don't have forever to figure it out.
Not your location. Not your relationships. Not your career.
If you're sitting in a job right now that you know isn't it…you know. You don't need me to tell you. You feel it on Sunday nights. You feel it in your gut Monday morning.
And if you're actively looking but getting nowhere — sending resumes into the void, refreshing your inbox, hearing nothing back — that's not bad luck.
That's a fixable problem.
And you're running out of time to keep doing the same thing and expecting different results.
Thankfully, for you, my little seekers, there's a shortcut.
I'll just write the CV and LinkedIn for you and get you hired.
I can do this because my staffing firm has done over 1,100 successful placements and I've overseen over 10,000 interviews.
I have a few slots left this month, doors close Sunday.
