I remember that feeling — staring into the abyss, wondering who was going to call me back. You know, this was "back in the day" 15 years ago when people actually did use the telephone for more than Instagram, TikTok, and whatever else those Gen-Z folks are cooking up.
The worst part about it really was the lack of POWER you felt over the situation.
You just applied, sat, and hoped.
Like waiting next to the phone for your crush to call you back.
Not an ideal situation to be in.
And this is where I started to believe, that you need to take the power back. Some way, some how. It wasn't enough to just sit there and wait. And in 2026, that's especially true.
Let me put it to you this way: I run a staffing company, and we've done over 1,100 placements across 40+ countries.
When we post a remote role, it's not uncommon for us to get 500 applicants. Maybe 1,000.
In one day.
Read that again.
One day.
That's usually off of the absolute minimum budget that we're allowed to spend, which is like $7 a day. We don't spend more than that because we simply can't handle the volume of applicants. Our recruiting team would spend the entire day languishing over applications, most of which are just horribly unqualified, and most of them sound exactly the same…like they were written by some AI slop.
And I hate to say it, but if you used AI to look at your resume or to write your resume… yours probably falls into that same category.
The abyss.
Most of you don't even understand how LinkedIn sorts your resumes. But on average, it only puts about 3-5% of applicants into the "strong fit" category.
The rest are quite literally put into the garbage until a Recruiter actually goes in and actually take them out of the garbage and look at them.
And if we have 500 applicants… you can probably figure out how this works.
You basically never actually have time to sort them properly.
The good news, of course, is that there are ways around it.
I'll show you exactly how in my extensive program — designed to land you the role you want, ASAP.
