There are about five cars in the world that set me off.
The second I see one on the road, I know their driving is about to frustrate me.
But the biggest offender?
Every time, without fail, it’s the goddamn Renault Clio.
Who buys a Renault Clio?
There’s no better way to tell the world you’re boring with no personality than buying a Renault.
For those of you in America, it’s like buying a Toyota Corolla.
Why would you buy a Corolla?
Maybe you need something practical. Fine.
You could buy a Camry.
You could buy a Civic.
You could buy a Kia.
You could buy so many things better than a Corolla.
That’s exactly what a Renault is.
And honestly, it’s all French cars.
I don’t know what it is, but the steering is so light and airy that every time I’m on the freeway, it feels like one fart will blow me off the road.
So what does this have to do with your job hunt?
Here’s the point:
Don’t be the Renault Clio.
Don’t be the boring, stale choice a company gets stuck with.
And frankly, with so many applications out there these days, most of you are boring and stale.
Just like a Renault.
You all say you’re a “dynamic professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.”
You all say your biggest weakness is that you care too much.
And when they ask if you have any questions, you ask about PTO or sick leave.
You’re basically a bunch of Renaults on the lot.
To get hired, all you have to do is be a Honda Civic.
It’s not difficult.
But get this:
Most people have no idea how to stand out, because nobody ever showed them the system.
That’s what we do at Unfair Careers.
We fix your positioning so you stop looking like every other Renault on the lot.
We plug you into our Unfair System, so you find the right jobs and reach the people who actually decide.
Then we get you ready to stand out in the interview.

P.S. If you’re driving a Clio right now, when I’m coming up on you… get out of the way.
