The first testimonial for my new book, "10,000 Interviews" has come in…
Reader Jacobo says:
=====
"I'm reading your book and I'm seriously considering dumping ChatGPT for practising interviews. This should be taught in high schools at the very least. Thanks."
=====
I want to focus on one part of that.
The dumping.
Like a giant turd in a toilet bowl.
Not "using it less."
Not "supplementing it with your book."
Because here's what this person figured out in a few chapters that most candidates never figure out:
ChatGPT is making you sound like everyone else.
Every resume it writes sounds the same. Every cover letter it generates reads the same. Every answer it coaches you on is the same polished, forgettable, corporate slop that every other candidate is walking into interviews with.
And hiring managers can smell it.
Not because they're anti-AI.
Because they've read the same thing 10,000 times this year.
"Results-driven professional with a proven track record of leveraging cross-functional collaboration to drive strategic initiatives."
That sentence was either written by ChatGPT or by a human too dumb to distinguish that it literally…means nothing.
Chapter 13 of 10,000 Interviews is about this. About why AI is making you invisible, not competitive. And what the people who are actually getting hired right now are doing instead.
This reader figured it out.
He'll get hired, soon me reckons.
You can too.
$49.
Price goes up at midnight EST tonight, and it ain't coming back down.
Act fast, my little seekers…
