Midterms, or something of the sort.
To be honest, I have no idea.
Honestly, this whole subject line was pretty much a shameless way to get you to open the email. Because, newsflash, the news doesn’t actually matter. The midterms, whatever Trump is doing, whatever’s happening in Iran, or whatever the hell else is going on in the world.
You can only focus on the things you can control.
Frankly, reading the news has to be one of the most low-ROI, poor-people behaviors there is, and about the worst thing you can do. All it does is distract you from your goals. It doesn’t matter if that’s getting a job, losing weight, hitting a new income goal, or simply spending more time with your kids.
It’s designed specifically to suck you in, make you unhappy, and ultimately derail you from making progress toward where you want to get in life.
I don’t like to spend too much time thinking about how the “global elites” are trying to control everyone, or how they try to stop you from doing anything other than consuming, whether that’s information like the news or bad food.
But it’s really not hard to see if you look.
The news and the social media cycle are the number one tool out there. If you let them dictate your life…
They simply will.
